OUR VOLUNTEERS
OUR VALUES – COMMUNITY – COHESION – TEAMWORK
- We are committed to the welfare and interests of our volunteers.
- We will treat volunteers fairly and consistently.
- We provide a full complement of volunteer policies.
- Encourage young people to become volunteers whilst supporting our less able children
- We use sport and exercise to strengthen communities and provide opportunities for people who are excluded or disadvantaged through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disability, race, sexuality or gender to tackle the exclusion and isolation experienced by some of the poorest and most disadvantaged communities. We want to expel racism whilst also improving opportunities for our local teenagers, bringing together people of different ethnic and/or faith backgrounds.
Positive Attitudes
For 50 volunteers to gain experience in building effective relationships, understand sensitive issues and support individuals. Learning new skills in different settings. Giving valuable time that will stay with them for life. An opportunity to work as a team assessing how partnerships work.
At Pegasus we want all our children to have the same opportunities in life as everyone else, to enjoy a rich quality of life both as individuals and as members of the community. All should feel valued within their community and deserve the opportunities we can give them for self-fulfilment and independence. Pegasus is committed to diversity in all areas. We are learning all of the time and are committed to developing and maintaining an organisation in which all abilities, backgrounds and needs are valued.
The Health & Wellbeing of everyone at Pegasus is equally important.
“Every Child Does Matter” at Pegasus. We will regularly evaluate and monitor our progress towards diversity.
Pegasus is actively working to improve community cohesion.
